"We had a truly wonderful stay again at Decoy Country Cottages. The location is superb and the set up ideal for families of groups. We stayed in a 7 person house. Lots of things to do on-site from games room, outdoor table tennis and trampoline not to mention the andorable animals on the farm. Lovely touches on arrival including welcome hamper. Kitchen incredibly well stocked with utensils etc. it feels like a home away from home. Will definitely return again."

The Lú Festival of Light returns to Drogheda from 23rd – 26th October, bringing four days of light, art, storytelling and entertainment to the town.

Expect spectacular projections and animations across historic buildings, bringing mythical stories to life, alongside street performances featuring fire performers, stilt walkers and plenty of colourful characters.

Best of all, much of the festival is free and family-friendly, with ticketed events also taking place throughout the weekend.

And with Drogheda just a short trip from Decoy Country Cottages, it makes a great addition to an autumn break in the Boyne Valley.

Milly has a very important question... what exactly are the chickens up to? 😂

Our curious lady has been spending some time hanging out with the chickens, although we're not entirely sure if she's made friends or is simply keeping a very close eye on them!

But, we think Milly approves of them 🐐❤️

We still have some availability across our cottages, including The Coach House, a beautiful and cosy two-bedroom cottage sleeping up to four guests.

With a King bedroom, Twin bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, cosy living space with a wood-burning stove and access to our outdoor wellness area, it is a lovely base for a relaxing autumn break.
