Sherry FitzGerald Talbot was established in 1946 by the Late Frank Talbot (William's Grandfather). There was one employee operating from a small back yard office and when Frank died in 1953, his son Billy carried on the business. The present Managing Director William Talbot joined the firm in 1997. In the intervening 57 years Talbot's have been uniting buyers and sellers and because of their long experience can offer expert advice on all aspects of property sales. They now operate from a newly refurbished street front suite of offices, employing a staff of eight people. In 1999 Talbot's joined The Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide Network and as a result has gone from strength to strength. Being situated close to Lough Derg, they always have an excellent selection of lake properties on their books. They specialise in the sale of farms, modern and period residences and commercial properties. Whether buying or selling, you can be assured of prompt attention, expert advice and complete confidentiality. The company offers the following services:

🎉🥂 Celebrating 80 Years of Sherry FitzGerald Talbot!

What a wonderful day we had yesterday celebrating 80 years in business!

It was so lovely to catch up with so many customers, friends, family and colleagues from the local business community who have been part of our journey over the years.

It was particularly special to welcome back some of our former employees, share a few stories and reminisce about old times. Where have the years gone!

We were also delighted to welcome representatives from Sherry FitzGerald. It meant a great deal to have them join us for this special occasion.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate with us and to all those who have supported our family business over the past eight decades.

We are incredibly grateful for the friendships, loyalty and support we have enjoyed throughout the years.

Lovely to see our family’s 80-year journey featured in this week’s Nenagh Guardian!

We have been absolutely delighted and humbled by the number of lovely messages, phone calls and good wishes we’ve received from clients, friends and colleagues over the past week.

From my grandfather Frank starting the business back in 1946, to my father Billy and on to the third generation, it has been a privilege to be part of the Nenagh business community for eight decades.

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We wouldn’t be here without you!

🎉🏡 80 YEARS IN BUSINESS – 1946–2026! 🏡🎉

Next week, we’re celebrating a very special birthday at Sherry FitzGerald Talbot – 80 years in business!

What started back in 1946 with my grandfather, Frank Talbot, has grown into a business that has proudly served three generations of the Talbot family and countless families throughout Nenagh and North Tipperary.

My father, William Talbot, took over in 1953, and I joined the family business in 1994. In 1999, we became part of the Sherry FitzGerald network, and we’ve continued to grow and develop ever since.

Looking back over eight decades, it’s remarkable to think of the many families, friendships and business relationships that have been part of our journey.

A family business is only as strong as the people who support it.

To all our wonderful clients, colleagues, staff, family and friends, thank you sincerely for your trust, loyalty and friendship over the past 80 years.

We never take that support for granted, and we are enormously grateful to everyone who has been part of our story.
