I nearly burned our house down yesterday. I dashed out the door leaving a pot on the ring. Came back an hour later to a house full of black smoke. Not a fire, thankfully, but the SMOKE! Today I am washing everything. You can see by the sugar bowl that everything is coated in a brown greasy layer.
Time to slow down a bit? As soon as I wash every surface in the kitchen - and beyond. There was never a week that I was so glad not to have guests in the coach house!

Ballyhack castle is reopening today for the summer season. Opens 10am Saturday to Wednesday inclusive, closed Thursday to Friday. Its a free site.
So if you passing by drop in and say hello, always a warm welcome. And remember from Waterford folks, its €2 return for a foot passenger on the Passage East Ferry Company , OAP are free. Some wonderful walks available in the area and refreshments from Byrnes of the Balla too 😀

Fruit Hill is buzzing this week despite the wet weather. The decs are up, food supplies can't possibly fail, family arriving to claim every bed.
