After years of going through designs and costs and all the pitfalls of renovation works with clients, we found ourselves doing it as well.
One of the biggest issues in most builds is utility room size. And that was our problem too. With heat pumps and sports equipment and all sorts of stuff, our utility room became very small very quick. So being able to extend it out and get units to conceal the plant and provide lots of storage is great. Having dog crates stored within the cabinetry is also a huge bonus.
Similar with the kitchen, it was built when it was just the 2 of us, but with 3 kids and 15 years later, it was due a refurbishment. The big island with lots of storage, the dining table and lounge seat, the separate kitchen area for cooking and a nice in built feature unit with more storage means plenty of space to put things away (just have to get the kids on board with that!)
All the layouts and features were carefully thought out by my lovely wife who knew what she wanted and between us both, we got a lovely design and a great kitchen exactly as it was planned.
Nearly there now, still have outside to go, but we have a kitchen back and all is good again! Huge thanks to all who helped out, Jason, James and their team were great to deal with and we had some great suppliers and subcontractors.
