We have received positive news from Cllr. Ryan O’Meara this morning regarding the future of St. Kieran’s nursing home Rathcabbin. We are very thankful to Ryan for this & for delivering the good news which will be a great benefit to our community.
As a committee, we will be meeting with the new care facility personnel within the next week & following that we will provide a full update & details.

We are happy to inform you that St. Kieran’s Nursing Home Rathcabbin has officially been REFUSED as an IPAS Centre.
We would like to thank each and every member of our community for supporting us over the last few months & to our hard working exceptional committee for their tireless efforts and determination to protect our community.
What got this over the line has been people power, support and hard work.
Hopefully we can get our nursing home re-opened in the foreseeable future.

An overwhelming morning of support this afternoon with over 300 local people in attendance between walkers, cars and stewards who came out to stand and walk together in solidarity for the future of the Rathcabbin community and our nursing home. We would like to thank everyone for the support & to the large number of people who contacted to say they couldn’t attend but were in full support, we thank you also.
It’s on days like today it really hits home the importance of our neighbours, friends and community residents coming together and supporting each other.

At times like these, people power & sticking together is vital, Rathcabbin Hall today at 12.30pm or for anyone unable to walk, you can still meet with us at 12.30pm at the hall or outside St. Kieran’s Nursing home at 1pm
