Dooney Rock sits on the southern shores of Lough Gill, just a short wander from Sligo town, yet it feels wonderfully remote. The trail winds through mature woodland, alive with birdsong and soft moss underfoot, before opening out to a rocky vantage point overlooking the lake’s island‑dotted waters. On a calm morning, the reflections are mirror‑perfect.
