Would you choose a paint called Midnight Swim... or one called T-8707

Same paint. Completely different reaction.

As an interior designer, I've noticed something interesting.

People are not falling in love with paint codes, but a memorable or stand out paint name can definitely have an affect on whether someone chooses a colour.

A name creates a feeling, a memory, a story. It helps us imagine how a room might feel, before we've even tested the colour on the wall.

That's why most paint companies don't just give colours numbers, they give them personalities.

And It works, 100% on me anyway!

I've definitely found myself more drawn to paints with names rather than a random string of letters and numbers.

One of those small changes that made a big difference!

I finally added these blinds from to my office and I can finally see when working and have the lovely view to my garden

As a designer, people often think the biggest transformations come from new furniture, expensive renovations or knocking down walls.

But sometimes it's the smaller details.

Window treatments soften a room, add texture, control light and make a space feel intentional rather than unfinished.

It's one of the reasons I rarely leave windows completely bare.

📢 ANNOUNCEMENT! Sometimes people don’t need a full renovation!

They just need help seeing the potential in the space they already have.
This client struggled to visualise how her open plan kitchen, dining and living area could feel cohesive, stylish and functional for family life.

The room never felt fully “finished” and she wasn’t enjoying spending time in it.

My role here was focused on sourcing, styling direction and visuals to help bring the room together in a way that finally felt intentional and comfortable to live in.

One of my favourite messages from her was: “We can sit close together ❤️”..So cute!

That’s what good interior design is really about.
Not perfection or trends, its creating a home that genuinely improves everyday life.

The dining bench area had already been completed before we worked together, but the overall space needed help feeling connected and balanced.

If you’re overwhelmed trying to pull a room together, sometimes a fresh professional eye is all it takes.

Sometimes life gets in the way of finishing your decorating projects, It 100% does in our home!
It's completely normal.

This lovely client booked a colour consultation with me over a year ago, but there was never any pressure to rush decisions, buy everything immediately, or have the room “finished” by a certain date.

Now, one year later, the room has finally come together, a few more finishing touches and it will be complete!
