Picked at dawn, in the rain … she is perfect. Shes Café au Lait. My first year growing this dahlia. What a beauty. Another one to add to my top list of dahlias to grow. They can be demanding but they are so worth the effort. She is absolutely stunning 🤩

Arthur is telling me he doesn’t need the loo today ,apparently…a gun dog who hates the rain 🌧️ 🐾 🥴

The heavens opened this morning ..TG! It is desperately needed … we haven’t had a decent drop of rain since June and the land is scorched. We will be glad of some growth to get the ponies into the winter.

What an absolute honour it has been to welcome the wonderful Caroline Quentin into our home.

For the past nine weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting Caroline and her equally wonderful husband, Sam Farmer, while Caroline was in Kilkenny filming an upcoming TV series.

They felt less like guests and more like friends. We discovered so much in common—a shared love of the garden, nature, dogs, delicious food, and, most importantly, a shared sense of humour. We have made friends for life.

We are missing the laughs, our daily chats and Arthur is still wondering when you’ll be back!
