Willie Clancy Festival - July 4 – 12

This is THE best Irish Music Festival of the summer; it has been on the go since 1973. People flock from everywhere to enjoy this iconic experience.

Set in Miltown Malbay in Co Clare, this little town will be hopping between July 4th and 12th.

It is a mix of daytime workshops and at night its full on sessions. The streets are alive and folks are moving from one pub to the next to take it all in.

If it’s decent music, great craic in a beautiful location in the west of Ireland your after…this is it!

You will need to book early as it’s a busy festival.

According to chatgpt there is a reasonable chance that this summer will be warmer than usual!

This is due to the very warm spring we had had, the long term warming in our climate and seasonal forecast models often leaning toward above-average temperatures across parts of Europe.

The chance of a warmer-than-normal summer is probably higher than the chance of a cooler-than-normal….so, ok so it’s not guaranteed but lets take it.

So, check out our beaches here, we all know that if we get a bit of sun it so beats the hassle of flights and travel outside the country.

Kilkee Marathon for runners and spectators.

This is a half marathon (10K) and is one of the best runs on the west coast as you will be spoilt with the views throughout the run.

You run along the Loop Head Peninsula famous for dramatic cliffs and Atlantic views, if this is your thing then this is a “must do”.

It starts and finishes in Kilkee town so the buzz in the town is brilliant. Guaranteed craic after the event. Lots of restaurants and pubs to keep you going.

Kilkee itself is a fantastic location with a safe beach, check out the Po***ck holes and so much to do both in and around Kilkee.

The view of Nephin across Lough Conn – especially at sunrise or sunset is one of the most beautiful scenes anywhere in Ireland.

Stick this into your social calendar for July, even if you are not a sailor the buzz for Cork Week is fantastic. If you are into sailing and know what’s going on its even better.

The excitement on the water is only electric; the sea is full of colour noise and wild energy.

On shore the public can enjoy family days with coastal markets, face painting and food stalls.

The atmosphere in the evening is very buzzy, lots of sailors and public enjoying music, the craic and a bit of hydration!

Dunmore East is one of Irelands favourite and most attractive seaside villages.

It’s small enough to get the local vibe and plenty of decent pubs and restaurants to choose from.

The Strand Inn is fantastic if you get a nice evening, grab a table overlooking the cove and sit back and relax

There are seriously beautiful beaches. Staff pick is Dollar Bay, it’s a bit of a hike down to it but if your up for an early morning swim it’s unreal.

Dunmore East Sunrise Meadows is a brand new holiday home located in the town. Its really well kitted out, brand spanking new and very stylish.

The 49th Galway International Arts Festival takes place from 13–26 July 2026.

For two weeks, Ireland's cultural capital on the Wild Atlantic Way transforms into a massive stage, hosting over 500 artists across 25+ venues with a vibrant mix of theatre, music, spectacle, and talks.

There will be live music in the Heineken Big Top, street performances, visual art, dance and so much more.

The festival will draw spectators from around the world and may attendees return because this is such a unique experience.

Basically, Galway will be on fire for these two weeks. If you have holidays to book, this is where you want to be in July.
