I made it to the last night of the Hersh shiva. I managed to say Hamakom Yinachem - and also talk to members for their Kehila "Hakhel" , Orthodox Egalitarian Shira Hadasha style. I am really touched and said. I wrote a short message in their guest book.

I just saw this heart rending modern lamentation at Pardes TishaBav program about the destruction of Kibbutz Be'eri on 7 October. Even though filmed at National Library, my first (and another person's) impression was of Kibbutz Be'eri cafeteria.

Every year, I hear calls to cancel Tisha BAv fast as no longer relevant if we have a state. *Not this year after 7 October*

Israeli Olympic Rhythmic Gymnast Daria Atamanov from Tel Aviv qualified for the all-around women’s rhythmic gymnastics competition tonight as she danced to the Shir Hamaalot…a psalm we’ve always said in times we need prayer for those who are sick or when Am Yisrael is in trouble. The team lost two close friends on October 7 and the Israeli team is bringing as much meaning and awareness to its routines as possible.
