13-ICYA Urges Corporators and Citizens to Unite for IMC Cleanliness League 2026
Itanagar: The 13th Itanagar Constituency Youth Association (13-ICYA) has made a heartfelt appeal to all Itanagar Municipal Corporation (IMC) corporators, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), youth organisations, schools, market committees, local institutions, and every responsible citizen to actively participate in the 1st Edition of the IMC Cleanliness League 2026 and transform the initiative into a true people's movement.
Organised under the inspiring motto "Swachh Rajdhani, Hamari Zimmedari" and the theme "Battle of the 20 Wards," the ward-level cleanliness competition is being conducted from 10 July to 25 August 2026, bringing together all 20 wards of the Itanagar Municipal Corporation in a healthy and meaningful competition to create a cleaner, greener, and more beautiful capital city.
The winning ward will be awarded the prestigious championship title along with a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, recognising its outstanding commitment to cleanliness, civic responsibility, and community participation.
13-ICYA has especially appealed to every IMC corporator to take a leadership role by motivating residents, youth groups, schools, market associations, and volunteers to actively participate in cleanliness drives, proper waste segregation, tree plantation, beautification of public spaces, and the regular maintenance of roads, drains, parks, and other common areas.
The Association believes that the IMC Cleanliness League is more than just a competition—it is an opportunity to inspire civic pride, strengthen community spirit, and encourage every citizen to take ownership of keeping the capital clean. They emphasised that lasting change can only be achieved when every household, every ward, and every individual contributes towards a cleaner environment.
An independent jury will evaluate each ward on key parameters, including overall cleanliness, scientific waste management, greenery and plantation, community participation, and maintenance of public infrastructure before declaring the champion ward.
13-ICYA has called upon all citizens to join hands in this mission and prove that cleanliness is not merely the responsibility of the government but the collective responsibility of every resident.
