Marble is one of the most lavish and elegant flooring options available. It has a rich history, and has been the material of choice for designers, architects, and artists throughout all of human history.

All over the world there are marble floors that were laid down thousands of years ago and are as beautiful today as they were then. Check out The Greek (400 B.C.) and Roman (27 B.C.) Parthenons, the Aztec Temple of Tenochtitlan (1400's), The Taj Majal (1633-1635) and The Lincoln Memorial (1922). All used marble extensively. It's proven that it doesn't wear out even after millions of feet have passed over its surfaces.

Because of its density marble flooring is naturally resistant to scratches and stains. That doesn't mean that it is impervious, however. It still must be cared for properly so it can last with its beauty intact.

Bianco Carrara marble has been used since the time of Ancient Rome. Bianco Carrara marble, sometimes mistakenly called Carrera marble, is a type of white or blue-grey marble popular for use in sculpture and building decor. It is quarried at the city of Carrara in the province of Massa and Carrara in the Lunigiana, the northernmost tip of modern day Tuscany, Italy.
