Largest manmade lake was constructed in 1010 A.D. in the shape of Om ॐ and it was spread upto Bhojpur, Gauharganj and Mandideep.
The water area of the ancient Upper Lake ॐ Bhojtal was 421.9 square km while the existing Upper Lake is only 32 square km.
