CREDAI Chennai expresses its sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the Housing and Urban Development Department for the progressive decision issued through G.O.(Ms).No.126 dated 15.06.2026, enabling CMDA to grant final planning permission for High-Rise Buildings in the Chennai Metropolitan Area.

By enabling approvals at the CMDA level without routing files to the Government for final approval, this important reform will streamline processes and support faster, planned development across Chennai.

It is also a significant step towards improving Ease of Doing Business in the housing sector and strengthening investor confidence.
