Delighted to lay the foundation stone for the exclusive Sikkim Bus Terminus, Health Care Centre, and Guest House Building at the SNT Complex, Siliguri today. This significant project will enhance public services, transportation, and healthcare facilities for the people of Sikkim, benefiting travelers, government employees, and patients seeking treatment in Siliguri.

This historical development will house the SNT Office along with other government offices, streamlining administrative services. The Sikkim Health Care Centre will provide crucial medical support, especially to BPL patients, easing their access to healthcare.
I congratulate the people of Sikkim on this progressive step and reaffirm the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and public welfare.

I also extend gratitude to the West Bengal Government, Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee, and Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Gautam Deb for their support in making this project possible.

MLA Pamin Lepcha Files Defamation Case Against Former Minister Tshering Wangdi Lepcha; Court Issues Bail Warrant

Gnathang-Machong MLA Pamin Lepcha has filed a criminal defamation case against former minister Tshering Wangdi Lepcha. In response, the Chief Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Gangtok has issued a bail warrant of ₹3,000, returnable by March 11, 2025.

According to the court order signed by Judge Jwala Devi Thapa, the accused failed to appear despite receiving the summons, prompting the issuance of the bail warrant. The court has directed the accused to appear by the specified date.

This legal action has garnered attention in Sikkim’s political circles, as a sitting MLA has initiated proceedings against a former minister. The upcoming hearings are expected to be closely watched.
