The consulting wing of Reinenergy deals with energy and environment. It provides engineering as well as strategic consultancy on renewable energy and environment space to governments, industries and civil soci-eties on PAN India basis. Around 62% of the Indian population are in the age group of 15-59 and approximately 54% of the total population are below the 25 years age group. Most of them are not employable and significant of them are trapped in subsistence nature of farming. On the other hand, as the economy is growing in India, demand for skilled manpower is increasing rapidly. Emerging renewable energy sector is also facing tremendous challenges due to lack of skilled manpower. Reinenergy believes in holistic approach of value chain development and its training wing focusses on skill building in energy and water space through highly focussed courses. Awareness about the nexus between energy, development and environment is also very important for climate sustainability and justice. Rein energy, therefore, would conduct special awareness programmes also for students, corporate houses and general public.

India has released a draft version of phase two of its Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM), which lays out ambitions to build 9 GW of grid-connected solar plants by 2017 – more than eight times its current capacity.
Plans include auctioning 1.65 GW of PV capacity by the central government in the next financial year, direct grants to cut project costs and loosening curbs on the purchase of equipment from overseas, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. According to the plans, solar thermal technology would provide 30 percent of the total and solar photovoltaic panels would account for the rest.
The news came after forecasts pegged installed wind capacity at 89 GW by 2020 and 191 GW by 2030, attracting $16.5 billion of annual investment.
The government plans to award direct grants for as much as 40 percent of the upfront cost of building projects, which analysts expect will substantially increase total investment in solar energy in India.
The Climate Policy Initiative and the Indian School of Business said in two studies that higher interest rates and the short-term lending available for renewable projects in India add as much as 32 percent to the cost of clean power compared with similar projects in the U.S. and Europe.
The government grants would be financed with revenue from the National Clean Energy Fund, which has been taxing coal producers 50 rupees (92 cents) per tonne since July 2010 and was expected to raise 25 billion rupees in its first year.
Phase two of JNNSM proposes removing domestic content requirements, a move which is likely to run a wrecking ball through domestic crystalline-silicon manufacturers. But it could also bring down the cost of PV installations in the country.
The move is expected to hamper the success enjoyed by First Solar, which profits from thin film modules being exempt from domestic content requirements.
The responsibility for building 60 percent of the targeted 9 GW will be shifted to individual states. Separately, the country’s southern state of Tamil Nadu said it plans to auction 1 GW of solar power capacity next month.

Enter the Tiny Solar House, a 210 square-foot off-grid house on wheels, complete with all of the same creature comforts you would find in a travel trailer, RV, or motorhome.
This little house features a living room that doubles as an office, a fully functional kitchen with fridge, double sink, and four-burner stove, a bathroom with shower and compost toilet, and a sleeping loft filled with a queen-size mattress and clothing storage.
Oh, and we can’t leave out the most important part: six 280-watt solar PV panels adorn the roof and generate 100 percent of the electricity needed to keep the house powered, day and night. The SolarWorld PV panels are connected to a bank of maintenance-free deep cycle AGM batteries as well as a MidNite Solar charge controller and Xantrex inverter. They work together, seamlessly, to keep the system pumping clean energy throughout the night.
With its modern and unique design, the Tiny Solar House gets a lot of attention on the road and when it’s stopped at state and national parks across the U.S. But that’s fine with the owner, because it always gives him an opportunity to talk solar with the fellow travelers he encounters.
Five months into the journey and the Tiny Solar House has visited Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, South Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
A tour of the East Coast is planned for this fall, followed by a trek to the West Coast in the winter and then a trip up to the Northwest in spring.
One important thing has remained constant all along this adventure: sunlight. And as long as the sun continues to rise with each new day, the Tiny Solar House will continue to rely on free, unlimited clean energy and spark conversations about solar all across America.
