Massive investments worth crores were made in these homes, but violations of regulations have now led to strict action. The Haryana government has ordered enforcement against illegal construction, misuse, and occupation of stilt floors. Meanwhile, the High Court has temporarily stayed the stilt + 4 floors policy for residential plots. Authorities have also been directed to immediately remove road encroachments, including extended lawns, boundary walls, and other unauthorized कब्जा.
The crackdown has now extended to DLF Phase 2 as well. On the third day of the anti-encroachment drive, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) deployed eight enforcement teams, clearing illegal structures from more than 700 houses across eight licensed colonies.
A significant operation was conducted along the Golf Course Road service lanes, where commercial establishments had illegally expanded onto public roads. Authorities demolished these encroachments, reclaiming road space that had been occupied under the guise of business activity.
