As you enter the driveway of the Banyan Tree, situated near Village Dera Mandi in South Delhi, you are greeted by a magnificent old Banyan Tree, which lends its name to the place. The property is an architectural delight reminiscent of an old Rajasthan Haveli. Spread over two and a half acres of lush green landscaping, the place is split in two parts viz the old and the new wing, each having four luxuriously furnished rooms. The environment at the Banyan Tree is extremely soothing and almost therapeutic in nature. One can be greeted in the morning by a large variety of chirping birds including peacocks. It has a swimming pool and a well equipped gymnasium. It is a Retreat for those looking for a quite and refreshing holiday away from the maddening crowd.
