*🚨 BIG RTI ACTION IN GURUGRAM*

The Haryana State Information Commission has imposed a ₹25,000 fine on Gurugram District Town Planner RS Batth over an inadequate response to an RTI application.

The RTI, filed by Bharat Jain on January 4, 2022, sought information on rules and policies concerning partial possession and possession certificates for group housing projects approved between 2007 and 2016.

The Commission held that simply directing the applicant to the department website was not sufficient when the requested information was available with the public authority.
