Outer Ring Road: Works On Narsingi Entry-Exit Points Nears Completion, To Reduce Traffic Congestion

The ORR is a 158-km-long 8-lane motorway with access control and has a total of 19 access points.

The work on the Narsingi entry-exit points on the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road ( ) is almost finished and will be ready in about 10 days.

The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has recommended these departure and access points due to the proliferation of residential and commercial establishments in Narsingi and parts of Gandipet.

Furthermore, Narsingi is adjacent to the Financial District and Gachibowli, all of which are undergoing significant development.

The road from ORR to Narsingi becomes congested during peak hours due to heavy vehicular traffic, and future improvements are intended to provide relief for motorists.

There is now an eight-kilometre gap between the Kokapet and Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA) interchanges on the ORR.

The ORR entry ramp at the Narsingi flyover would connect traffic arriving from Narsingi and Gandipet and heading towards Rajendra Nagar and Shamshabad.

Once these entry/exit points are operational, traffic congestion on the service roads and internal roads in and around Narsingi is projected to be eased. They will also improve access to the ORR and reduce commute times.

The ORR is a 158-km-long eight-lane motorway with access control and has a total of 19 access points.

The ORR connects several areas: Narsing–Kokapet–Patancheru–Medchal–Shamirpet–Ghatkesar–Pedda Amberpet– –TSPA–Narsing–Nanakramguda– .

Further, service roads are developed with two-lane undivided sections on both sides of the ORR.

The ORR also connects with other significant national highways and state highways.

ORR Facelift

The 4.5-metre-wide cycle track is also planned alongside the ORR for 22 km in two stretches, in the western parts of Hyderabad, ie, 8.45 km from Nanakramguda to the Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA) and 13.8 km from Narsingi to Kollur.

In another announcement, a Bain Capital-owned company, VXI Global Solutions, LLC, a leading provider of customer experience solutions, with a presence in 42 locations across North America, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Caribbean, is going to setup a 10,000-employee center.

Compared to the ₹1.83 lakh crore IT exports reported in FY-22, this will be an increase of 20%, the Minister said, pointing to how the policy framework, infrastructure availability and access to human capital had made Hyderabad a preferred destination for the technology firm.
The IT sector added more than 1.5 lakh in 2021-22, taking the number of people employed directly by the companies to 785,614.
Of the 4.5 lakh jobs generated in the sector across in 2021-22, Hyderabad accounted for 1.53 lakh, over a third of the total, beating Bengaluru, which accounted for 1.48 lakh jobs. Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Delhi-NCR and other Tier-2 cities accounted for the rest.

Telangana can now build a city as big as Hyderabad next to it. CII pitches to build a 130 lakh acres Green City

No other city will have the luxury that Hyderabad now has – a brand new city, as big as Hyderabad itself can now be built on the Western part of the city. The Telangana Cabinet decided on Thursday to annul the GO 111, removing all the restrictions on real estate development that the 27-year-old GO imposed in 84 villages.
