NEW DELHI: National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) will not move court against the implementation of Real Estate Regulation and (Development) Act (RERA), even with regard to ongoing projects, as it helps build confidence among buyers, said its president Parveen Jain.

While RERA is an excellent move to organize the highly segmented Indian Real Estate, efforts should be given in order to blend it in a form that is most effective. There are some challenges, however let us hope these get fixed as soon as possible

With each State defining ongoing projects differently, developers must assess each of their ongoing projects in light of the relevant rules to ensure compliance.

A small heads up for the registrations of the ongoing projects in Maharashtra

Any ongoing project that is being marketed needs to be registered with the authority or else it would be taken as violation of section 3 of MahaRERA rules.
