Yes,It's true.. After the festive season the prices of real estate has seen a dip due to less demand,high interest rates etc.. In places like Mumbai prices have gone down by 10-20% .. Indore is somewhat unaffected due to the super corridor development-Infosys news, but due to less demand developers are offering discounts on the regular prices to keep there projects going... For example if a developer is quoting a price of Rs. 2250 per Sq feet ,he will be happy to finalize the deal at Rs. 2000/Sq Feet.. So people do not forget to benefit by buying a residential property at lower prices in these GOOD TIMES...

Secondly-The guests which attend these weddings can be potential customers as they see the surroundings & facilities of the township & may buy a property there if they are impressed with the township. This can be seen as a hidden marketing strategy. Some developers can use this for earning some maintenance money & even getting new customers.
