THE SMART CITIES SUMMIT: Mumbai, August 22 & 23, 2014

Mr. Narendra Singh, the CMD of Brand India Inc. attended a two-day conference - ‘The Smart Cities Summit’ - on August 22 & 23, 2014 held at Hotel Four Seasons in Mumbai. The domain of discussion was the Application and Acceptance of Smart Technologies in the sectors of Transport, Energy, and Development in the lives and security system of the citizens of the Smart Cities under consideration.
Speakers, both from India and abroad, shared their ideas, knowledge and experiences in the four sessions that followed through.
The first session was about the ‘Smart Mobility Solutions’ and ‘Smart City Culture’. It focussed on the integrated transport solutions and single governance. The second session speakers talked about how to integrate Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to meet demands of increasing urbanization. The third session deliberations were on ‘Smart Security’ which highlighted the city services in tackling emergencies, security, and disaster management. The last session on ‘Smart Energy’ discussed upon energy management, smart grid and energy efficiency, renewable and energy storage, reducing energy needs and environmental impact. Case studies on South Korean City of Songdo and Surat-Safe City Project were also presented.
More than 300 participants interacted and carried with them great insights and opportunities to facilitate in the developing of ‘Smart Cities’ in India.

India's Top Innovisionary Builders and Most Admired Builders awards: 2014

Mr. Narendra Singh, the CMD of Brand India Inc. actively attended the Award Felicitation programme to India’s Top Innovisionary Builders and Most Admired Builders. The function was a part of the ‘Smart Cities Summit 2014’ held in Mumbai on 22nd August, 2014 at Hotel Four Seasons. The elite audience comprised of 300 plus CEOs from the construction field, viz. architects, builders, developers, hoteliers, etc. There were seven and four awardees in the respective categories.
The builders had shown innovation in using their skills and materials, technology, project management, and timely completion and delivery.

Mr. Narendra Singh, the CMD of Brand India Inc. attended the award giving ceremony on August 22nd, 2014 to Indis’a Top Innovisionary Architects and Most Admired Architects. ASAPP Media has been organising the Construction World Architect and Builder Awards for 8 years. There were over 300 CEOs in the presence of whom the awards were presented. There were ten recipients in the first category and five in the second category were awarded for the recognition of their work
The awardees were chosen on the basis of their innovation in design and style and the admiration which they got from clients and people who have worked with them.
