Many homebuyers get confused when builders advertise a 1,200 sq. ft. flat, but after possession, the actual usable space feels much smaller.
The reason is simple: Carpet Area, Built-up Area, and Super Built-up Area are three different measurements.
✅ Carpet Area – The actual usable space inside your flat (living room, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms).
✅ Built-up Area – Carpet Area + balconies, utility areas, and wall thickness.
✅ Super Built-up Area – Built-up Area + proportionate share of common amenities like lifts, lobby, staircase, clubhouse, and corridors. This is also called the saleable area.
