🐍 कवड्या साप (Common Wolf Snake): घराघरांमध्ये आढळणारा बिनविषारी मित्र! 🏡✨

​महाराष्ट्रात आणि संपूर्ण भारतात सर्रास आढळणारा 'कवड्या' हा पूर्णपणे बिनविषारी साप आहे. गडद तांबड्या किंवा काळ्या रंगाच्या शरीरावर पांढरे-पिवळे पट्टे असलेला हा साप साधारण १ ते २.५ फूट लांब असतो. हा प्रामुख्याने निशाचर असून, पाली आणि सरडे खाण्यासाठी मानवी वस्त्यांमध्ये, विशेषतः भिंतींवर किंवा छतांवर वावरतो.

​⚠️ महत्त्वाची टीप: दिसायला हा हुबेहूब अतिविषारी 'मण्यार' (Common Krait) सापासारखा वाटत असल्याने, लोक अनेकदा घाबरून याला मारून टाकतात. पण कवड्या सापाचे डोके चपटे आणि मानेपेक्षा वेगळे दिसते, तर मण्यार सापाचे डोके व शरीर एकाच रेषेत असते.
