CREDAI West Bengal has renewed its demand for easing provisions under the Urban Land Ceiling framework, arguing that it would facilitate large housing projects, townships, industrial hubs and IT parks, eventually generating huge employment.
In a pre-budget meeting with the State Additional Chief Secretary Shri Prabhat
Mishra and his team, we submitted targeted suggestions to unlock land, speed up planned urbanisation and improve housing affordability across Bengal.
Arguing that structural bottlenecks are preventing large, integrated developments and that policy certainty is needed to attract long-term private and foreign investment, Shri Sushil Mohta, President, CREDAI West Bengal and Shri Apurva Salarpuria, President, CREDAI Kolkata made key recommendations at the meeting to ease current land ceiling rules.
