π‘ Basic Vastu Tips for Plot Selection
1. Plot Shape
β
Square and rectangular plots are generally preferred.
β
A rectangle with balanced proportions is considered good.
β Avoid highly irregular, triangular, or severely cut plots.
2. Plot Direction
π§Β North-facing:Β Traditionally considered favourable for opportunities and financial growth.
π
Β East-facing:Β Often preferred for positivity and growth.
π§Β West-facing:Β Can also be suitable with proper planning.
πΒ South-facing:Β Not automatically bad; proper plot shape and house planning are important.
3. Road Position
A plot with a road on theΒ North or EastΒ side is traditionally preferred.
Corner plots can be attractive, but check traffic, privacy, road width, and plot geometry.
4. Slope of the Land
Traditionally, a gentle slope towards theΒ North or EastΒ is considered preferable.
Avoid plots with severe waterlogging or drainage problems.
5. South-West Corner
The South-West portion should ideally be regular and not significantly cut or missing.
6. North-East Corner
A clean, open, regular North-East portion is generally preferred according to Vastu principles.
7. Avoid Practical Problems
Before buying, carefully check:
β Waterlogging
β Low-lying land
β Major drainage/sewage issues
β High-voltage lines directly over the plot
β Difficult or unsafe access
β Major boundary or title disputes
