In a landmark discovery about the first moments of the universe, a team led by a Harvard astronomer announced it had found strong evidence of what happened just after the Big Bang 13.8 billion years ago:

In the slightest fraction of a second, the universe — a speck one-billionth the size of a proton — doubled in size 100 times over, a dramatic expansion called inflation. Scientists call it the “bang” of the Big Bang.

Have you ever wondered how we can see our bones in X-Ray? X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation that go right through some substances, like flesh and wood, but are stopped by others, such as bones and lead.
This allows them to be used to see broken bones or explosives inside suitcases, which makes them useful for doctors and security officers. Isn't it amazing? Comment below to know more!

Nasa finds glass-like sea on Titan. This means surface of Ligeia Mare, Titan’s (Saturn’s moon) second largest sea, has a mirror-like smoothness, possibly due to a lack of winds. As the only other solar system body with an Earth-like weather system, Titan could serve as a model for studying our own planet's early history.

Have you ever wondered how something as heavy as an airplane manages to stay aloft in the sky?
Well, the shape of the plane's wing as it passes through the air creates lower pressure above the wing than beneath it. This pressure difference is what allows the wings to push upward and the plane to take flight. The faster the wing moves, the more lift is created, playing a key role in making sure air traffic stays on the up and up.
This is explained by Bernoulli’s Principle -This law of physics stipulates that the pressure of a fluid (liquid or gas) decreases as the speed of the fluid increases.

A rich merchant had collected many gold coins. He did not want anybody to know about them. One day, his wife asked, "How many gold coins do we have?"

After pausing a moment, he replied, "Well! If I divide the coins into two unequal numbers, then 27 times the difference between the two numbers equals the difference between the squares of the two numbers."

The wife looked puzzled. Can you help the merchant's wife by finding out how many gold coins they have?

Here’s something wonderful that happened!
On the eve of Pi Day on March 14th, five synchronized aircraft wrote out the first few hundred digits in pi's infinite sequence in the sky of Austin (Texas, US)

Pi, or π, is a mathematical constant that represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter (π = c/d). No matter the size of the circle, pi remains the same.

There is a number that is 6 times the sum of its digits. What is this number? Do your math.

How does sun provide all the heat to the solar system?
The Sun creates energy through the nuclear fusion of hydrogen nuclei into helium.
What that means is that, since there is a huge amount of hydrogen in the core, these atoms stick together and fuse into a helium atom. This energy is then radiated out from the core and moves across the solar system!
