hri Balasaheb Thackrey, founder of India's right-wing Shiv Sena party, has died aged 86 in Mumbai.
A Sad day for most Mumbaikars.
There are people who think he did good only for Marathis & Marathi Manoos, but I want to clarify he stood for the truth & fought bravely for things he truly wished for.

From sheltering Kashmiri Pandits to Saving Sikhs in 1984 Anti-Sikh pogroms he saved thousands of innocent lives.

A Man who shaped what Mumbai is today. To all who don't know, The Bandra-Worli Sealink and Mumbai-Pune Express highway was Balasaheb's dream projects. During the 1984 Sikh Genocide, when Govt. sponsored mass killing Sikhs, Bal Thackeray protected the Sikhs of Mumbai.

He was indeed an excellent Orator and Leader. Whatever be said about Bal Thackeray & ShivSena's influence, Mumbai is a much safer city than Delhi, and for that we must thank them. All i want to convey here is that if it weren't Bal Thackeray & Shiv Sena, Mumbai wud hv gone to Dogs. You showed how a single person has the power to make an impact on the society...
People will remember you...!!! Today Mumbai lost its safety shield...
