After the bees are in and the chickens are settled and the kitchen is cleaned, there is this.

The fire. The sound of nothing in particular, wind through the pines & rhododendrons, a distant barking dear somewhere in the valley, maybe the stream if it’s very quiet.

The sky here does something in the last half hour before it goes dark that we’ve never been able to adequately explain to anyone. You’d have to be here.
