I do hereby honor the decision of Haryana Govt. for making stilt+4 houses because this is not only the need of coming future but also it’ll prevent to acquire the green lands for developing colonies along with many more other benefits to the citizens of the state.
The objections raised by the RWAs are not endorsed by common residents, Objections are just raised by most of the elder people & few other management members of the RWAs because they do not wish to reconstruct more floors on their own houses and if 4+stilt houses are constructed besides their houses than show of their houses will be fade, that is why this whole drama of opposing is being played against this adorable decision of Haryana Govt.:
Objection 1: It’ll stop the Sunlight, Air etc..
Ans: Beside my house are double & triple storey houses which are holding direct sunlight to my house. Three/four storey showrooms/buildings are even holding the natural views from our houses ; Should we stop constructing two/three stories & big showrooms also?? Moreover nothing can stop Air (even a closed empty jar contains air in it)
Objection 2: Shortage of water, electricity, sewerage and garbage disposal etc.
Ans: Population has increased from 1Lac* in 1985 to 7.5* lac in 2022 to till now and will be constantly increasing with the passage of time even you make stilt + 4 or not. This doesn’t mean to stop progressing rather human develop more sources of basic necessities.
Objection 3: Car parking problem
Ans: 100% of the existing houses have no multiple car parking facility, while 4+stilt has this main feature than how can be parking a problem ?? Even the existing owners of the houses park their vehicle on the roads and creating congestion while after making 4+stilt will solve this problem.
Objection 2: Cracks appearing in houses
Ans: When triple storey houses with basement and 3+stilt houses adjoining many other thousands of houses have already been constructed and didn't not create cracks than how one more lantern can cause cracks in the adjoining house?
Further the new 3+ or 4+ stilt are being constructed on the pillars without even sharing lantern burden on the adjoining houses; hence cannot create cracks.
Moreover HSVP also takes affidavit from the owner of bearing any loss to the neighbor if caused during/by construction.
This I feel still needs to be thoroughly checked by the architects & structural engineers of the concerned departments for better clarification.
Benefits of making 4+stilt Houses:
1. It saves green land from acquiring to make more residential colonies.
2. People who are not able to buy a plot or home may be able buy a floor.
3. People who are not able to reconstruct their houses may get their houses reconstructed with the collaboration of builders or families.
4. It’ll generate very huge Revenue to the state govt./central govt.
5. It’ll increase the value of the existing plot/old houses.
6. It’ll generate employment among starving construction labour i.e. mazdoors, masons, plumbers, carpenters, electricians etc. and all other professionals related to the building construction field i.e. Architects, engineers, building contractors etc..
7. It’ll increase the volume of all the businesses related to construction business i.e. brick killins, cement, iron, crushers etc.
8. New employment generation will engage the jobless youth and may also automatically decrease the crime level also.
9. Increased population in the city will increase in the sale of other businesses i.e. grocery, food joints, clothing etc.
10. Car parking facility in 4+stilt houses will decrease congestion from the roads in mohallas.
These are just my opinions as a common citizen 🙏
