കനത്ത മഴയിൽ മണ്ണ് ഇടിഞ്ഞ് വീണതിനെ തുടർന്ന് ഗവിയിലേക്കുള്ള വിനോദസഞ്ചാരം താത്കാലികമായി നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു. മൂഴിയാർ അരണമുടിയിലെ മണ്ണ് നീക്കം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ.
ഗവിയിലേക്ക് സഞ്ചാരികളെ ആഗസ്റ്റ് 17 മുതൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിക്കും.

ഗവി സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ അനുയോജ്യമായ സമയം മഴക്കാലം എന്ന് നിസംശയം പറയാം. മഴയത്ത് ഗവിക് ഒരു പ്രത്യക ഭംഗി തന്നെയാണ്. നിമിഷങ്ങൾകുള്ളിൽ വന്ന് മറയുന്ന കോടമഞ്ഞും മഴയും തണുപ്പും മൃഗങ്ങളും നിറഞ്ഞ് കിടക്കുന്ന സംഭരണികളും നൽകുന്ന അനുഭവം വത്യസ്ഥ്യംതന്നെയാണ്.
സംരക്ഷിത വനമേഘല ആയതുകൊണ്ട് പ്രവേശനത്തിന് പരിമിതികൾ ഉണ്ട്.

Jp‘s homestay is 100meter ahead of forest check post kochandy.This is the main entrance of Gavi kakki eco tourism, Dams,sight seeing etc extended to 100 km.The other end is Vandiperiyar .We can‘t enter the forest without booking passes from www.gavikakki.online.com.We have stay, homely food,River bath ,advance ticket booking,travelling etc..You can enjoy a closer forest ,river etc
