पुण्यातील 54 किमी “भुयारी मार्ग” (Underground Road Network / Twin Tunnel) प्रोजेक्टची सध्या जोरदार चर्चा सुरू आहे. हा प्रोजेक्ट पुण्यातील वाढती ट्रॅफिक कमी करण्यासाठी PMC आणि PMRDA मिळून पुढे नेत आहेत.

मुख्य अपडेट्स:
• पुण्यात सुमारे 54 किमी underground road network तयार करण्याची योजना आहे. 
• यात विशेषतः Yerwada–Katraj Twin Tunnel आणि काही महत्त्वाचे underground corridors असतील. 
• मुख्यमंत्री Devendra Fadnavis यांनी अलीकडेच या प्रकल्पासाठी SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) तयार करण्याचे निर्देश दिले आहेत. 
• PMC आंतरराष्ट्रीय consultant नेमून DPR (Detailed Project Report) तयार करत आहे. 
• प्रकल्पामुळे कात्रज, स्वारगेट, शिवाजीनगर, येरवडा, हिंजवडी अशा भागातील ट्रॅफिक कमी होण्याची अपेक्षा आहे.
• हा प्रोजेक्ट पुण्याच्या Inner Ring Road आणि Metro connectivity सोबत integrate केला जाणार आहे.

हा महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात मोठ्या इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर प्रोजेक्टपैकी एक आहे. हा रस्ता पूर्ण झाल्यावर पुणे शहराभोवती पूर्ण सर्क्युलर कनेक्टिव्हिटी मिळणार आहे.
• एकूण लांबी: ~170 किमी
• प्रकार: Access-controlled highway
• मुख्य काम: शहराबाहेरून ट्रॅफिक डायव्हर्ट करणे
• प्रमुख अंमलबजावणी: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation

🌉 River Bridge (नदीवरील पूल) Details

Ring Road मध्ये अनेक ठिकाणी नद्यांवर पूल बांधले जात आहेत (जसे मुळा, मुठा, इंद्रायणी).

Bridge Features:
• Heavy load capacity (ट्रक, कंटेनर वाहतूकसाठी)
• Multi-lane connectivity (4–6 lane)
• Flood-resistant design
• Fast inter-zone travel (पश्चिम ते पूर्व पुणे जलद कनेक्ट)

Current Status (2026):
• काही ठिकाणी foundation work + pillars (piers) पूर्ण झाले
• काही bridges superstructure stage मध्ये आहेत

The tunnel is part of a larger plan to reduce travel time between IT hub Hinjewadi and Sinhagad Road.
• Current travel time (often 1.5–2+ hours due to city traffic) could be cut drastically if the tunnel is completed.
• The project is being linked with Pune’s broader infrastructure push, including ring road and decongestion plans.
