CHALLANGES APPLICABLE FOR REAL ESTATE INDUSTRY
•Non Standard
•Too many interrelated dependencies
•Too many agencies
•Too many types of materials
•Requirement of skill sets of extreme in nature
•Manpower Shortage
•Increased Customer Expectations

REQUIREMENTS & OPPORTUNITIES

•Requirement of Fast Track Construction
•Use of Advance Technologies
•Need of Cost Control due to increased competition
•Increased Quality Standards
•New Construction requirements like new structures/ increased heights
Challenges & Opportunities in Real Estate Industry
Loading…
•Increased competitions profit margins are under tremendous pressure
•Heavy fluctuations in raw material prices, the escalation is unavoidable thus affecting on the margins
•Various processes are done in isolation such as market survey, design & development, liaison, estimation and sales etc. which looses opportunity of Value Engineering
•Prices are committed upfront to the customers, hence the risks in cost escalations has to be borne by the developer
•Ever changing statutory norms, tax rates, tedious laws related to land increases complexity of the business
•Design process is continued in parallel to ex*****on due to which time and cost cannot be finalized
•Use of conventional technology increases the labor requirement which is scarcity.
•Use of conventional technology also throws immense challenges to maintain the quality of the product
•Sales prices are market driven which have no resemblance with the cost incurred
•Unlike other industries, use of new technologies is not accepted widely as it attracts costs and risks
•Product delivery period is much longer which involves a lot of risks
