Lily of Nageen has two self contained bedrooms, each with a double bed plus a single bed and its bathroom. The dining room, living room and the porch are to be shared by our guests. We live on a neighboring boat, so that we can be of service anytime you need us. We can cook delicious meals for you and there is always a good selection of drinks available to our guest. Should you have special requir

ements, we will endeavor to provide for them. If our houseboat is fully booked we can find accommodation for you on other houseboats, still considering you as our guest and looking after your needs and wishes,

Houseboats in Kashmir are a British invention. They came into life around 1880 – as a British solution to a land purchasing prohibition imposed on foreigners. The Maharaja of that time allowed foreigners to live on lakes and rivers only. The British took on the challenge of creating luxurious floating houses using the best handicrafts Kashmir could offer. Cedar is the wood of choice for boat construction. The rooms have wooden walls and carved ceilings, walnut furniture, Kashmir handcrafted rugs, embroidery & curtains.
