🔑 Unlocking Prosperity: Mumbai’s Real Estate Shines This Navratri

Navratri 2025 Brings 20% Jump in Mumbai Property Registrations

1. During Navratri 2025 (September 22 to October 1), 6,238 properties were registered in Mumbai’s BMC jurisdiction a 20% increase over 5,199 registrations during the same period in 2024.

2. Revenue collections from these registrations rose by 17% year-on-year, reaching ₹587 crore, compared to ₹502 crore last year.
3. September 2025 recorded 12,070 property registrations, averaging 402 registrations per day the best September in a decade.
Even during the Shraddh period (September 7–21), property registrations showed growth with 3,368 registrations (around 5% higher year-on-year) and ₹265 crore in revenue (up 21%).
4. The surge in activity was attributed to:
The timing of Navratri in 2025, which mostly fell in September (unlike 2024 when it began in October), avoiding overlap with the Shraddh period.
5. Stable interest rates and improved affordability, boosting home-buying sentiment.

Thane is witnessing a major infrastructure boost aimed at tackling its growing traffic congestion. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has announced a massive expansion plan with key projects in the pipeline.

Highlights:

Ghodbunder Road to be widened into a 7+7 lane concrete corridor at a cost of ₹500 crore.
Part of a ₹5,200-crore infrastructure push across Thane.
Development of 23 internal roads worth ₹700 crore.
Construction of the elevated 3+3 lane Anand Nagar–Saket road (₹1,800 crore) to serve as a city bypass.
