Respected Mayor Ritu Tawde Tai,
You are doing commendable work for Mumbai, and citizens truly appreciate your efforts. We request you to encourage BMC officers, corporators, and MLAs to work with the same dedication and to conduct regular surprise visits across all civic departments so that real ground-level conditions can be monitored and discipline can be maintained.
We humbly request the administration to establish Municipal English and Marathi medium schools in every major city area, ideally based around railway station zones for easy accessibility. Today, many private schools are putting a huge financial burden on common families through excessive fees, books, uniforms, tuition classes, and other expenses. Quality government education should be strengthened so that every child can receive affordable and equal education.
Strict regulation should be implemented on unauthorized private tuition classes, and officially managed educational support classes should be introduced by the administration. Free self-defense training programs for women and girls should also be started, along with the establishment of dedicated women police stations in every division.
Self-defense education should be made compulsory for girls, women, and female teachers in all school standards. Education for girls from 5th to 12th standard should be made completely free. Many schools fail to provide proper benefits to RTE students even after admission, and strict surprise inspections and legal action should be taken against such institutions.
For student safety and eco-friendly travel, dedicated cycle tracks should be developed alongside major roads so that school students can safely commute by bicycle.
School toilets must be regularly inspected for hygiene and maintenance. Character verification should be mandatory for all third-party staff working in schools. CCTV cameras should be compulsory in every school, and authorities must physically verify whether these systems are properly installed and operational, instead of existing only on paper.
Strong and transparent decisions are necessary to make Mumbai and Maharashtra safer, more disciplined, educated, and secure for women and future generations. Taxpayers and common citizens fully support every honest effort toward public welfare and better governance. 🙏
