Shaqlawa Guest House The Shaqlawa Guest House is open for business. We welcome the Expat community and local friends to come, stay, and beat the heat of Erbil.

We just rented the house next to ours in Shaqlawa. The house is for friends that are coming to join us in our work here in Kurdistan. Until they come I will be fixing it up and renting it out to the Expat community and local friends. It's a big old house with an amazing mature garden and great views.

Currently we are letting a refugee family from Karakosh Iraq stay in our guesthouse. Pray our guests will be able to return home and ISIS will be defeated or pushed out of their area soon.

The house is cleaning up nicely. New flooring is being put down. We got 6 new mattresses and pillows. The kitchen has been scrubbed top to bottom. I got 8 new chairs for the kitchen table that I made. It's coming together!

We just rented the house next to us (The Picketts). We will be renting it out to Expats and local friends through the summer. It's a big old house with an amazing garden and great views. I'll be fixing it up this month but it's available now.
