We love telling the stories that live within each of the Dimore di Langa, because that is precisely why they were brought back to life: to keep their memories alive, and to make them feel like home for a few days to many others.
Just like at Cascina Piandamiane, where home meant gathering twenty people around the kitchen table at Christmas, leaving the large living-room table free for the presents.
Home was grandpa, who would always ask only Massi to help him: “You’re all dressed up… well, except you, Massi. You can come and help me!”
Home was grandma, always with a new book in her hands, sitting beneath her beloved loquat tree in the courtyard.
Today, when we step into Piandamiane, we like to think that a little piece of this story can become part of the story of all those who stay here — with new chapters still waiting to be written. 🏡
