A characteristic old town house set on four floors and situated on a corner leading into a charming, hidden piazza which features an ancient well. The house is based in Marsciano, a small town nestling in the soft hollow of the Umbrian hills, which are threaded through with vineyards and olive groves year
round and in summer offer a spectacular display of sunflowers. Though over 200 years old the
house is modern and well-equipped inside including: two double bedrooms one with balcony, a pretty kitchen/diner, brand new shower room on second floor, new cloakroom on first floor, small roof terrace, garage, washer and laundry facilities and TV. Off the well-beaten tourist track, Marsciano has its own medieval history reflected in the old town where the house is located. Perugia, Assisi, Todi, and the stunning Lake Trasimeno are on your doorstep while Florence and Rome are just a few hours away. The town has 8 supermarkets and 5 banks and a number of good restaurants and bars as well as an award-winning ice-cream parlour (see Youtube video). Writers and artists will be particularly inspired by the house and its surroundings in the narrow streets and hidden passages of the historic centre. The house also features a 'study nook' tucked away on the second floor, where you can get going on that book or just pen your postcards. The house is the ideal inspirational 'hideaway' for active, thinking travellers who want to live their stay in Italy to the full and have a first-hand experience of everyday Italian life while finding out more about this fascinating region.
