Sunshine and final checks ahead of the next guests’ arrival. ☀️ The house is spotless, the heating is running, and the pool will soon be closed for the season.

A few outdoor details flagged for tidying, a handful of stink bugs spotted near the windows, and one radiator to check. A beautiful day for a little behind-the-scenes property care — hopefully the sunshine stays for the guests too!

Social media makes holiday homes look effortless. Sparkling interiors, perfect gardens… but behind the scenes? A slightly different story.

Wild boars have torn up the garden, and a major storm has left the property without electricity for two days. The gardener and electrician are on the job.

And the timing? The owners arrive tomorrow for a relaxing weekend in Piemonte. Relaxing… that’s what we’re working on! 🐗⚡

Today’s visit was at a property preparing for its final check-in of the season. Everything is in good order and, once the cleaning team has finished, the mild autumn weather should make for a lovely stay for the next guests.

After that, the owners will make their final visit of the year before the winter closing. It has been a pleasure to look after this home over the years, and I hope to continue supporting it in the seasons to come.

Today’s property visit: outdoor furniture tidied, garden checked, and the house reviewed room by room.

A few practical points came up, minor repairs to plan, and a refresher cleaning also needed before the next guests use. The garden is growing well after the hot summer..

🏠 A routine property visit is often where seasonal priorities become clear. Inside, the house was generally in good condition, with only some light dust and cobwebs to address before any future arrival.

🏡 Outside, recent storms have left their mark: gravel, mud and fallen leaves need attention, while the side drainage channel and final stretch of road should be cleared and checked. With autumn approaching, this is also the right time to plan ahead and make sure the heating fuel supply is ready before colder weather arrives.

Today’s visit to charming Villa Asti, one of the properties we started managing in 2026. The house was generally in good shape, while the garden is understandably feeling this long dry spell. We found a number of dead hornets inside, which helped identify a nest hidden in the stonework near the house. A few overlooked details were picked up, outdoor cushions were safely stored away, and the worn stone steps were flagged for repair. Small observations today help prevent bigger issues tomorrow.

Before and after each owner’s visit, a property check keeps everything under control. A quick photo report helps highlight what needs attention, what’s been done well, and keeps communication clear across the whole team.
