The day Simon Ekpa appeared in Court, he told the about 15 people with him that all the crimes he was accused of were actually committed by the government.
But when those crimes were being committed, the same Simon Ekpa was seriously taking responsibility for them. For example, when 11 women were gunned down in Enugu State, including a pregnant woman, Simon claimed responsibility.
Sit with that for a moment. If this was done by the government, and Simon Ekpa claimed responsibility for it, what exactly did he want to achieve?
Was he trying to restore Biafra by taking responsibility for kị́lling 11 Biafran women, knowing full well it was done by the government, as he later told the people that came in solidarity with him in the court of Appeal premises in Finland?
How does taking responsibility for kị́lling 11 Biafran women help the struggle in any way?
And here is the part that should bother every one of us. Will taking responsibility for it not exonerate the government over that very crime against innocent Biafran women? If Ekpa says it was him, then it wasn't the government, at least not in the eyes of the world watching. That is what claiming responsibility means. You cannot claim a crime and simultaneously blame someone else for it years later and expect both stories to be true.
Is it that you guys are not using your brains, or what?
What is wrong with you people? A people who want freedom must use their senses, not suspend them.
By taking responsibility for a crime you are now claiming the government committed, you are serving the interest of the government and nothing else. You cannot logically hold both positions. Either he committed it, or the government did. He cannot be the one who takes the blame and the one who later reveals the true culprit in the same breath, and expect us to trust either version.
Why can't you guys see it?
If Ekpa wants to dribble all of you, I refuse to be dribbled. We will not allow the second affliction. Chukwu aju.
The sins of exDOS will never wash off the sins of Simon Ekpa. Never. One does not cancel the other. They are two separate betrayals, and pretending one excuses the other is exactly how people get dribbled twice.
I am not here for the crowd. I am certain we have thousands of truthful men and women. All we need is to wake them up. This struggle needs to be championed by men and women ready to call a spade a spade. People of critical thinking, not people who switch off their reasoning because an agent provocateur once shouted Biafra.
Your supporting Ekpa is born out of chronic ignorance. Same with the gangsters.
Here is the simplest way to see it. If you know a crime was committed by Obi, and you stay in the evị̀l forest to claim responsibility because you know we can't come into the evị̀l forest to get you, then you are working for Obi. You want us to believe it was you who committed it, and not Obi.
It is as simple as that.
