Village Stories

Live in Borgo Batone:
Nestled in the Tuscan hills around Lucca lies Borgo Batone. The borgo has everything that makes a village a village: a harmonious collection of houses of different sizes, ages and functions, a well, a chapel, a village square and its own water source. The heart of the village is Villa Barsotti with its adjoining park and pool.
What happened so far and what happens next:
In June 2021 we discovered the abandoned village and fell head over heels in love. Thereupon began the hot search for people who share our vision of reviving Borgo Batone. With about 70 parties, we officially took possession of the Borgo in December 2022. Since then, we have been in the process of breathing new life into it on various levels and shaping our community: At make-up camps, the village is being made fit for the 2023 season, the olive groves and other outdoor spaces are being souped up, plans for our village piazza are being conceived, and the first yoga workshops are being planned. Meanwhile, our booking calendar is also filling up nicely and we are looking forward to the start of the season on April 1.
We would like to tell you about all this in our new format "Village Stories". The event is aimed at anyone who would like to learn more about the Borgo and can imagine coming on board as one of the last shareholder parties and further developing the Borgo together with us.
At our VILLAGE STORIES, you'll have the opportunity to meet the core team and some of the charming people who have gathered around the project so far.
Get comfortable at our virtual table with a glass of wine or tea and immerse yourself in the stories surrounding Borgo Batone.
We are looking forward to an evening full of stories about the Borgo.
