❣️Franciacorta DOCG wine region - Franciacorta is a sparkling wine that encompasses all the roots and traditionality of a prestigious area, rich in history and attractive from a tourism point of view, like few others in Italy. The three versions of franciacorta DOCG are: Bianco, Satèn and Rosé. One of Producers to recommend is Contadi Castaldi, a historical name within the territory of Franciacorta. We tasted: 🍾🍾FRANCIACORTA DOCG SATEN MILLESIMATO 2015 🍾- from Chardonnay grapes, harvested between late August and early September. First refinement has a duration of 7 months and is carried out partly in steel and partly in barriques, 2nd fermentation is for 36 month. This Saten by Contadi Castaldi shows a brilliant straw yellow color and has a fine and persistent perlage. The nose is fresh and elegant with intense aromas of citrus, hawthorn, bread crust, slightly balsamic and a nice finish of dried figs and nuts. The entrance in the mouth is very soft, a beautiful structure and a pleasant freshness that will win you over and is was a perfect choice for our Pasta: Paccheri con Granchio ❣️ Best regards from the White Glove Sommelier ❣️
