There are several species of dolphin that can be spotted in Calabrian waters, including:
🐬 Bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus):
One of the most famous species of dolphin, often seen near the coast.
🐬 Striped dolphin (Stenella coeruleoalba): Characterized by its slender body and distinctive stripes on the sides of its body.
🐬 Common dolphin (Delphinus delphis):
Often seen in larger groups, known for its spectacular jumps above the water's surface.

In Calabria, there are many opportunities to see dolphins in their natural habitat.
Companies such as Calabria Sport Fishing offer special cruises where participants have the chance to see dolphins up close. During these trips, you can also see other marine creatures, such as sea turtles and various species of fish.
