COLORFUL SUNSET RAYS OVER THE SHORE

A vivid coastal sunset where cloud gaps, ocean haze, and low sunlight create vertical beams of color above the horizon.

This effect resembles crepuscular rays mixed with atmospheric scattering. When the Sun sits low over the ocean, its light travels through more moisture and haze, making warm reds, oranges, and pinks stronger. Thin cloud breaks can shape the light into visible columns, while the wet sand and waves reflect the colors back toward the camera.

A scene like this fits tropical beaches, Gulf Coast shorelines, Southern California, Florida, or island coastlines where humid air, broken clouds, and a clear sunset horizon come together.

TRIPLE RAINBOW LIGHT CURTAIN

A storm breaks open for one perfect minute...dark ceiling, bright river, and color stacked like layers of glass.
Each arc looks cleaner than the last, and those vertical bands make the whole scene feel amazing without needing anything extra.

The rainbows happen when low sun hits a wall of raindrops at the right angle. Light enters each drop, reflects inside, then exits separated into colors. The brightest arc is the primary rainbow; the next faint arc is the secondary (its color order flips because the light bounces an extra time inside the drops). A third band can show up when the rainfall is very even and the background is dark enough to boost contrast.

Those upright “curtain” streaks are usually sunlight getting funneled through uneven layers of cloud and precipitation—thin gaps in the storm act like shutters, so the sunbeams appear as vertical columns. When the air is full of mist, the beams become visible and can look like shimmering light pillars above the rain.
