We never gave up on Palazzo San Benedetto, even when earthquake damage left this historic treasure—with its oldest roots dating back to 800 AD and its newest additions to the 1500s—scarred with deeply cracked rooms and completely collapsed half of its 11th-century combined watch and dove tower.
While the dust of the Abruzzo earthquake threatened to bury its history, we only saw its timeless beauty, its resilient spirit, and its incredible potential.
We poured our hearts, tears, and souls into reviving this piece of San Benedetto in Perillis and now, like the phoenix rising from the ashes, Palazzo San Benedetto has risen from the rubble, standing even more grand and strengthened for centuries to come. Today, our hearts are completely full as we are finally close to moving into our dream home.
Non abbiamo mai rinunciato a Palazzo San Benedetto, nemmeno quando i danni del terremoto avevano lasciato questo tesoro storico — le cui origini più antiche risalgono all'800 d.C. e le cui aggiunte più recenti al XVI secolo — segnato da stanze profondamente lesionate e con metà della sua torre (che un tempo fungeva sia da torre di avvistamento che da colombaia, risalente all'XI secolo) completamente crollata. Mentre la polvere del terremoto d'Abruzzo minacciava di seppellirne la storia, noi vedevamo solo la sua bellezza senza tempo, il suo spirito resiliente e il suo incredibile potenziale. Abbiamo messo cuore, lacrime e anima nel far rinascere questo angolo di San Benedetto in Perillis; come la fenice che risorge dalle ceneri, Palazzo San Benedetto è emerso dalle macerie, ergendosi ancora più maestoso e solido per i secoli a ve**re. Oggi i nostri cuori sono colmi di gioia: siamo finalmente a un passo dal trasferirci nella casa dei nostri sogni.
