• Park away from trees, walls and exposed coastal areas where possible

Utilities and essentials
• Keep phones charged and torches accessible
• Familiarise yourself with shut-off points for water, gas and electricity

After the Storm
When conditions improve and it is safe:
• Assess any visible damage to buildings, contents or vehicles
• Take photographs to document damage before arranging clean-up
• Carry out temporary measures to prevent further loss, where safe to do so
