Heatwaves increase fire risk significantly and in shared buildings, fires can spread quickly and affect multiple homes.

To stay safe in the sun and beat the heat we recommend that Islanders follow these simple steps to stay cool during this hot spell:

➡ cool off indoors during the hottest time of day or when the UV is at its strongest
➡ leave strenuous activities for later in the day when it's cooler
➡ take cool baths and showers
➡ drink plenty of water and avoid coffee and alcohol
➡ close curtains, open windows, and use fans
➡ wear a hat and loose light clothing
➡ wear sun cream when going outside with a minimum SPF of 30

🚗 A Year of Parking Services In-House! 🅿️

This week marks one year since our Parking Services came back in-house and we’re really proud of the progress made over the past 12 months 🙌

It’s been a busy and rewarding year for the team, with some fantastic achievements, including:

✅ Moving all permit holders onto a new parking system
✅ New online permit application form
✅ Introducing the Driver App to make things easier for our customers 📱
✅ Issuing over 1,000 permits (around 21 every week) 🚗
✅ Handling 4,600+ customer enquiries—that’s around 18 every working day 📞
✅ Reviewing & improving our parking policy to ensure fairness
✅ Strengthening our partnership with G4S
✅ Improving patrol responsiveness

We’ve also worked closely with other teams to take a fair and consistent approach to parking, helping ensure spaces are used by those who need them most 🏠

At Andium, we believe that great service is about more than responding when something goes wrong — it’s about staying connected.

Launched in December 2025, our Caring Connections campaign was designed to proactively reach out to clients we hadn’t heard from in a while, simply to check in, listen, and make sure they feel supported in their home.

What we’ve learned is simple but powerful:

Even when everything is going well, taking the time to connect helps build trust, offer reassurance, and remind clients that support is there if they need it.

🎨 A brighter welcome at Andium Homes ✨

We’ve been making some improvements to our Client Services space 👇

A key focus for us has been making it quicker and simpler for clients to get help, and this is where the new self‑service feature wall really stands out 📞

Clients can now report repairs directly to contractors using the dedicated phone point — with clear, step‑by‑step guidance right in front of them. Getting straight through to the right contractor

It’s a simple change, but one that makes a big difference in helping clients resolve repairs more quickly and confidently.

We’ve also refreshed the space with clearer signage and a more open, welcoming feel — making it easier to know where to go and what to do from the moment you walk in.

We have been collaborating with Dementia Jersey and gaining their feedback on the designs. Their input has helped us create a space that’s not just bright but clear, calm and accessible for everyone.
