We are proud to support Jersey Cheshire Home this Christmas. They have created a warm and welcoming environment where residents and their families can come together to celebrate. For many of the residents, who may face challenges in accessing social events we have helped provide them with the opportunity to participate in a festive gathering surrounded by love and support.

Watch the video from Dementia Jersey showcasing their latest campaign to promote good brain health. Supported by Le Masurier.

Monday 13 May sees the start of Dementia Awareness Week and the launch of an exciting new creative collaboration to introduce interactive and eye-catching brain health messages in the town centre.

The campaign is called Boost Your Brain (www.dementia.je/boostyourbrain) and aims to spread awareness of the simple habits we can all adopt to help reduce our risk of dementia: Love your heart, Stay Sharp and Keep Connected.

Dementia Jersey have teamed up with SignTech, Snap, Le Masurier, Arthouse Jersey and the Parish of St Helier Town team to produce brain-boosting artwork which will cover 30 metres of hoarding in Broad Street. The street will be temporarily re-named Memory Lane and local retailers are showing their support with branded window stickers.

Le Masurier sells in Germany

Le Masurier recently completed the sale of an office and laboratory building, HENRI, in Erlangen, Germany to a French SCPI fund, for €12+m. The 5,180 sq m property was let to Sivantos, a global leader in the hearing aid industry, on a long term.

Gavin Booth, Head of Group Property, Le Masurier, commented: “This asset has been a successful long-term investment for the Group, and the sale completes our strategic exit from the German market. Having concluded a lease extension in 2023, the asset was attractive to long income buyers and the sale now allows Le Masurier to refocus on UK real estate opportunities, as well as its existing Jersey development portfolio.”

Savills Germany and Froese AM advised Le Masurier on the Sale.

Les Sablons £120 million development is granted planning approval.

This statement is from Brian McCarthy, Managing Director of Le Masurier, in response to the decision by the Minister for Infrastructure to approve the redevelopment of over 2 ½ acres of land on Broad Street and Commercial Street known as ‘Les Sablons’.

Le Masurier appealed the Assistant Environment Minister’s decision to refuse the application through the Royal Court, but the Government decided not to contest the appeal and the Royal Court ordered that the Assistant Minister’s decision was quashed and that the decision was to be retaken.

The Government-appointed Independent Inspector had recommended the scheme for approval.

Brian McCarthy, Managing Director of Le Masurier:
“We are obviously delighted with the Minister’s decision to approve Les Sablons.

It has been a challenging journey spanning many years, as we have gone through this complex and costly process, but we believe that Les Sablons is worth fighting for.

Our decision to challenge what I believe is a fundamentally broken planning system has paid off.

I would like to sincerely thank the local community and all those who have supported our vision for Les Sablons for their overwhelming support throughout this process. I believe that this is a real success story for Jersey and a positive development for St Helier and our island, as it will deliver the regeneration of over 2½ acres of the centre of town, providing a host of social and economic benefits through tourism, regeneration, housing, leisure, employment, pedestrianised connectivity and placemaking.”

Update from Le Masurier: Recent developments on the Le Sablons site

We wanted to share the latest news regarding our appeal for the Les Sablons site. We understand that many of you may have seen our appeal has unfortunately been rejected by the Assistant Environment Minister, despite the independent inspectors overwhelming recommendation for approval. Our £120m plan to regenerate St Helier and cater for the Island’s needs was rejected by the Planning Committee in December 2022- a decision we felt we had to appeal. We now find ourselves in the same position. This decision, despite having support from the industry, local businesses, business leaders, and the public, has led us to take an appeal to the Royal Court.
Our Managing Director, Brian McCarthy, emphasises the significance of this scheme: "We believe it's worth fighting for, offering substantial regeneration for over 2.5 acres of the town centre. While an appeal wasn't our initial choice, it's now our only option."
We are confident in the merits of our case. If approved, this development could generate 150 full-time jobs, address housing shortages, and boost tourism—all with no cost to the taxpayer. Learn more about the details on our website, where we've provided news articles for further insight.
Despite the challenges, we remain optimistic about the future. Our commitment to the island's regeneration and positive change drives us forward. We appreciate your continued support on this journey.

Le Masurier are delighted to sponsor the Jersey Cheshire Homes Family Christmas Lunch again this year.
It was so great to meet residents and their families last year, we had to support this celebration again. The level of creativity and skill in the group’s Christingle making was amazing and our Rocking Reindeers were great fun to make as keepsakes of a lovely event for residents and their families.

The incredible work of the Jersey Cheshire Homes staff and the enthusiasm of residents in their fundraising endeavours is an inspiration! Roll on Christmas 2023! We’re ready!

Having met the NAWIC committee to ask what they needed help with last year, we were delighted to sponsor and provide the creation of an integrated communications strategy to help NAWIC Jersey continue to grow. Part of the plan included a creative direct mail campaign which was sent to 52 local contacts who had been to a NAWIC event but had not yet signed up as a member.

The first day of National Women in Construction Week in March all recipients received a brick wrapped in a beautiful purple satin NAWIC branded ribbon suggesting recipients build on their strong foundation with Nawic. The next day they received a trowel….let’s bond together. The third day the received a cement mixer picture suggesting they cement their relationship with NAWIC by joining as a member. The committee took time out of their busy days to hand deliver the campaign to each recipient over the three days. It was also good to work with our friends at Pentagon once again who kindly sponsored the bricks and trowels for this campaign. All recipients were invited to bring their bricks and trowels for a CSR day at Mont a L’Abbe School. This provided a fun event to network with other NAWIC Jersey members and learn more about their work in the Island encouraging, particularly girls to find opportunities in the built environment locally whilst creating a fun water feature for the super students at this wonderful school. The team also brightened up the school play shed with paint kindly supplied by Romerils. It was a pleasure to help NAWIC capture imaginations of busy colleagues in the built environment and suggest the fun CSR day as a finale to this successful campaign.
